The new 1550 Frontier marks the much-anticipated return of a popular Stabicraft model. We have reworked and rearranged the model for broader end-user appeal and expanded on the features of its very popular smaller sibling, the 1450 Frontier and offered an open-boat style alternative to the immensely popular 1550 Fisher. The 1550 Frontier retains the side console configuration but has gained massive amounts of usable space onboard by adopting “Broadhead Coamings” that open up the bow deck area forward of the helm, creating a very functional casting deck and seating area. Dual boarding platforms aft and a folding ladder have been added as standard, and the transom now provides far better access in and out of the water or when on the trailer than its predecessor did. Coamings and topside surfaces are now furnished as standard with EVA foam, and a windscreen with a grab bar is included as standard. With a 75 horsepower limit and more payload capability for passengers, the 1550 Frontier provides a big step up from the 1450 with a range of innovative options. Currently available as a 1550 FRONTIER SPORTFISH or PROFISH Between these two packages and numerous options, there is a configuration to suit everyone from budget-conscious family adventurers to dedicated and discerning fishermen who want it all.

Removeable Casting Platform
A removable casting platform in the bow is a great feature of the Profish package and an option in others. It is built tough enough to stand on with total confidence but still light enough for one person to carry & stow. This feature allows for the ability to quickly reconfigure your boat whether heading out to lure fish from the bow or to carry passengers in the bow seating area. The bow casting deck is complimented by the standard forward locker lid and an additional platform on the winch cover which together forms a huge area to cast from.
Flush Mount or Bracket Mount Consoles
Flexibility has been allowed to accept both flush mount electronics and binnacle mount. The standard console in all packages is set up to optimise a bracket mounted sounder with a large flat area on top behind the windscreen. However, you can option in a console with a bigger front face (Pictured left) that can accommodate up to a 15in flush mount screen in some brands. Maybe security is a factor or personal preference, either way, we have you covered.
Transom Options
The 1550 Frontier transom is an evolution of the 1550 Fisher transom architecture but with improvements made for better battery access & storage.
We have included a powder coated door that tidily hides the battery shelf and provides an additional storage compartment. Like the 1550 Fisher, the ski pole socket can take a pole-mounted bait board but we have also introduced a deluxe bait board with a dry storage locker on the Profish package and as optional on others. A live bait tank is included in the Profish and optional on other packages.
