Trends That Will Continue in 2024
Some graphic design trends for 2024 that I see emerging more and more are risograph, grainy effects, and screen print, as well as candy colors and 90s nostalgia from the release of the Barbie movie in 2023.
Trends That Will Fade in 2024
The trends that I see losing steam next year are twisty fonts, blurs, holographs, and gradients. I think people are getting more on the AI bandwagon but also looking for the total opposite of futuristic surrealism.
Trends That I Wish to See in 2024
A trend that I wish would come back is grunge (think Ray Gun magazine) or playful Postmodernism (think Wolfgang Weingart and Paula Scher).

Trends That Will Continue in 2024
I would say motion design, with everything it entails: videos, animations, micro-interactions, transitions. If done right, motion design will improve the user experience, and there are plenty of websites that use motion today, to great effect. One of my favorites is Dogstudio. Motion design is for sure one of the top web design trends for 2024.
Trends That Will Fade in 2024
I think we’ll see less and less of neumorphism. Also known as soft design, neumorphism mimics real-life objects in a similar way to skeuomorphism, although neumorphism achieves a soft, extruded plastic look.
It was one of the hottest web design trends in 2019, but I don’t think it will stick around for much longer because it was built on a poor foundation. While interesting to look at, neumorphic interfaces have one big flaw: accessibility. This is caused by poor color contrast, especially for buttons.
Trends That I Wish to See in 2024
I would like to see more and more gradients. They have been making a comeback for a while now, but I would like to see them in the top 3 most wanted list because gradients are awesome. They add color and depth to a design, and thanks to the CSS advances we have nowadays, creating interesting stuff like mesh gradients is very easy.

Trends That Will Continue in 2024
My graphic design trend for 2024 is Anti-Design. That includes sub-trends like Punk revival, 90s psychedelics, and Y2K acid grunge. This directly results from years of minimal, strict, and clean design rules in web design, branding, and even photography trends. Maximalism will reign supreme in all forms for the foreseen future.
Trends That Will Fade in 2024
I don't think there will be much more steam for minimalism and neutral design palettes. It makes things instantly dated.
Trends That I Wish to See in 2024
Other 2024 graphic design trends I'd really like to see are mysticism and occult-inspired trends. I see it in the interior design world. I just need it to creep into art and branding.

Trends That Will Continue in 2024
AI design: as artificial intelligence continues to evolve and more and more people are exposed and become interested in it, I think it's inevitable that it will continue to have an impact on the industry and will be one of the top 2024 graphic design trends.
Trends That Will Fade in 2024
In 2023, we've started to see graphic designers moving away from minimalist designs and monochrome colors to something bolder. As the trend moves towards louder, brighter, and bolder... perhaps we'll see the same thing happen to pastel colors and gradients as they have been extremely popular for a long time. Although, like minimalist designs, there will always be a place for them.
Trends That I Wish to See in 2024
I'd like the cute 3D characters and designs to come back as I found them really fun and unique to look at. They remind me of my childhood watching those claymation cartoons like Wallace and Gromit.

Trends That Will Continue in 2024
Drawn characters in a comic/cartoon style is a print design trend that I see bubbling and will explode and become more prevalent in 2024. Lately, I have been noticing this particular cartoon character design style more frequently in print designs such as flyers and stickers.
Trends That Will Fade in 2024
The use of metallics and chrome (especially pastel metallic gradients) in marketing and social media is becoming predictable to the point where it lacks originality. I see it being used a lot as an eye-catching element rather than aligning with the subject matter.
Trends That I Wish to See in 2024
I'd like to see large, simple, minimalist typography—no images, just text. Print and web designs with large, bold text offer a refreshing break from overused bright, retro, and in-your-face styles. Large, captivating text will always do the trick and stick out to me. It'll be part of the graphic design trends for 2024.
Also, frame-by-frame animations: I view this motion design trend as timeless and relevant, no matter the era.
