How to Make High Protein Peach Cobbler Ice Cream

You’ll only need four ingredients:

  1. frozen peaches
  2. protein powder
  3. graham cracker crumbs
  4. unsweetened almond milk (or your choice of liquid)

I think you’ll be amazed at the creaminess of blended peaches. Some fruits work better than others when making protein ice cream, and peaches are definitely near the top of my list.

My blueberry mango protein ice cream, for example, has similar ice cream appeal like this peach cobbler protein ice cream. Whereas something like my cherry garcia copycat smoothie bowl is a bit more difficult to make creamy. Strawberries and bananas are two more great fruits for legit protein ice cream, and I have two recipes using them here.

My Favorite Protein Powders for Recipes

For the protein powder, I used PEScience Vanilla Whey and Casein Blend. If you’re familiar with my recipes, you know I typically use Dymatize 100% whey or as of late, this PEScience. They’re very similar in texture and consistency and both work great in baked or microwaved recipes.

You’re more than welcome to use any protein powder you’d like. I will say, however, thinner or more granular protein powders may call for a reduction in liquid or more graham cracker crumbs. Add liquid slowly, starting with 1/4 cup and adding a tablespoon at a time from there.

Food Processor vs Blender for Protein Ice Cream

In the recipe’s directions, I mention using a food processor or blender. I highly recommend a food processor with a bowl scraper so you don’t have to continue opening the lid to push the ice cream into the blades or stir every few seconds. This is the food processor I use for everything in my kitchen, and it’s the bee’s knees for its price tag.

If you only have a blender, no worries, it will work fine. It might just take a few stirs in the process to get your ice cream fully blended. The magic is not adding too much liquid, making the blending a bit more difficult in certain tools.

How to Serve Your Peach Cobbler Ice Cream

One final tip for your peach cobbler ice cream would be to top it with puffed rice cereal or more graham cracker crumbs. The added crunch really brings out the peach cobbler-ness of the ice cream.

Instructions

  1. Add everything to a food processor or blender with the peaches going in last (so the powders don't fly up everywhere). Peach Cobbler Ice Cream: A 4-Ingredient Protein Ice Cream Recipe (6)
  2. Mix until smooth. You may need to remove the lid and stir by hand or press the thicker parts into the bottom so the blades can reach it. Some chunks are okay and actually add to the peach cobbler-ness of the ice cream. Peach Cobbler Ice Cream: A 4-Ingredient Protein Ice Cream Recipe (7)
