Dixey 37, 1403 Vincennes was denied a reduction in bond Wednesday when he appeared before Daviess County Circuit Court Judge Robert J. Arthur on child molesting charges. Dixey is charged with three counts of child molesting, Class A felonies; one count of child molesting, a Class felony; one count of incest, one count of dealing in marijuana, four counts of child solicitation, and three counts of criminal deviant conduct. Defense attorney Chris Ramsey argued that Dixey's bond should be lowered so he could go back to work in order to make mortgage payments on his house. The charges stem from incidents beginning in July of this year and involved at least five juveniles 13 and younger.

Carolyn Watson, who was living BY PATRICIA MORRISON with Dixey at the time, called police 26 to report suspected child Aug. molesting. Daviess County sheriff's deputies and city police, as well as social workers, investigated the allegations and Dixey was arrested 5. He has been held in the Sept. Daviess County Security Center on $110,000 cash bond since.

At Wednesday's court hearing, Dixey, testifying in his own defense, told the court that Watson was his girlfriend and was still living in his house, but was not making payments on it, therefore he needed to be free to meet those obligations. Daviess County Prosecutor Robert Leonard told the court that his office feared Dixey would pressure the children involved to change their stories if he was released. The judge was asked to issue a restraining order keeping Dixey from talking to any of the children involved or to Watson should he be able to meet his bond. Jeannine Ressler, a caseworker with Children and Family Services, told the court that the children were suffering psychologically and that Watson was in counseling and had a real fear of Dixey harming her. She testified that one child was undergoing tests at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis to determine if she had contracted Hepatitis C.

She told the court that the children had contracted sexually transmitted diseases. The charges against Dixey involve alleged sexual abuse, incest, providing alcohol and drugs to minors, forcing the children to pose for p*rnographic pictures and forcing them to watch p*rnographic movies. Law enforcement officials are still investigating whether charges will be brought against Watson, who, court records indicate, the children thought was aware of the abuse and had also asked them to watch p*rnographic movies.
