Over the years, he set several new O-Mok-See records in individual events and proudly teamed with this children Ted and Pam to capture team championships and records. He thoroughly enjoyed the friendships made while attending and competing at a show, never missing a chance to needle a friend or competitor and congratulate them on a championship run of their own. A lifelong passion for animals was always displayed in the love of his dogs, cats and horses. He enjoyed long walks with his wife and their dogs.
Ted was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Pam; his mother, Marie; brother, Marvin; and grandparents, John and Velma Wood. He is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Ted; brother, Robert (Helen); sister-in-law, Roberta Neimeyer; brothers-in-law, Mark (and Barbara) Roberts, Russell Roberts, Richard (and Barbara) Roberts; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews throughout Idaho and Oregon. He was most proud of his last business effort, establishing Quik Pik Foods in 1993, a wholesale distributing company that continues today. He served for seven years in the 116th Armored Cavalry Division Troop First SQDN of the Idaho National Guard.
Ted continually showed his generous support of the community with donations of time and supplies for fundraising efforts, including the original Boy Scout Christmas Tree lot and the Eagles Lodge of Helena. His competitive spirit began early in life and continued throughout many years in Helena. He was active in Helenas softball and bowling leagues. In 1975, Ted and his family became involved with horses and the sport of O-Mok-See, competing at the local, state and national levels for more than 30 years. His last competition included the 2007 Montana State O-Mok-See held in Townsend, having placed in the top of his division several times.
He was president of the Montana Saddle Clubs Association from 1987-88, and served on the National Saddle Clubs for the state of Montana Department of Livestock in 1962, retiring in 1985, after 23 years of service. Cecil loved Greenfield the outdoors of Montana. He was a fisherman, hunter and avid gardener. He enjoyed sports of all kinds. He especially loved watching his grandchildren participate in basketball, volleyball and track as Capital High Bruins.
He later became a Saints fan when his granddaughter played volleyball at Carroll College. Not only his grandchildren, but all their teammates, came to rely on the support of Papa" in the stands. He was easily recognizable in his hat covered with sports buttons. He enjoyed many spirited discussions with his friend, Father Gene, about the abilities of the referees. Cecils family was his greatest joy.
Visits from his children and grandchildren who live out of state were anticipated and enjoyed. He had several lively visits from his daughter-in-laws parents from London. His family Was spread across the country including swimming, golfing, bowling, horseshoes and riding bikes. Bobby loved travel, music, singing and dancing. Bobby was a champion companion, a cowboy at heart and always a gentleman.
Bobby will be remembered by his always ready smile, by all of us and those he met on his personal journey through life. He brought laughter; he brought tears. He brought joy amidst certain sadness. He shared with us his humor, but most of all he gave us HIS love. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Margaret Lemm Harry and Rose Zinnie; his uncle, Dave Sicotte; and cousins, Michael and Jay Sicotte.
Bobby is survived by his parents, Bob and Marilyn Lemm; brothers, David A. Lemm, Michael F. and Jodee Lemm; sister, Michelle Teddy Lee Wood Teddy Lee Ted" Wood passed away at home on Jan. 15, 2008, after a three-year battle with melanoma cancer. Ted was born March 15, 1939, in Portland, and was raised by his maternal grandparents, John T.
and Velma Grisham Wood. Ted and Jane Roberts were married on Sept. 20, 1959, in Caldwell, Idaho. Their son, Ted, was born in Caldwell in 1963, and daughter, Pam, was born in Helena in 1966. They remained together throughout their 48 years of marriage.
He started school in Mars-ing, Idaho, later moving and graduating with 25 classmates from Notus High School in Idaho in 1957. Ted was active in track and field, baseball, basketball, band and drama throughout his high school years. He was a standout football player for the Notus Pirates of the S.R.V.B. League, earning statewide honors along with a scholarship to the College of Idaho. His outgoing nature and sense of humor endeared him to his classmates for more than 50 years, as they stayed in close contact.
They later established a scholarship for future generations at Notus High. He attended the College of Idaho in Caldwell before leaving to begin his career as a salesman with Produce of Nampa. He moved on to Idaho Fish Poultry of Boise for the next four years before moving to Helena in 1964 to establish and operate Montana Fish Poultry until 1973. He then became a business owner, starting Teds Chevron service station in Cecil Clinton Greenfield Cecil Clinton Greenfield of Helena passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 15, 2008.
At the time of his death, Cecil was under the loving care of the staff of the Cooney Home. Cecil was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Towner, to William Sylvester and Alta Frances Greenfield. He received his education in Montana and Colorado schools. He was a veteran of the U.S.
Marine Corps. In 1943, Cecil married Virginia Kathleen Brendel. They had a son and daughter and later divorced. On July 31, 1952, he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Marie Jochims in Miles City. They had one daughter.
They lived in several Montana and Wyoming towns before moving to Helena in 1960. At the time of his death, Cecil and Norma Jean had been married 55 years. Cecil worked for the Vaughn Ragsdale Clothing Company for 12 years, the last two in Helena. While working for Vaughn Ragsdale, Cecil completed the LaSalle Correspondence Course in accounting, which prepared him to accomplish his goal of serving the state of Montana. He began work Robert C.
Lemm III A son was born Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1957, to Marilyn Zinnie Lemm and Robert C. Lemm Jr. at St. James Hospital in Butte.
Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, Robert C. Lemm III returned to the Lord. Bobby was blessed to have his mother and father, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephew at his side as his soul returned to heaven. Bobby has lived in Helena with his family for the greater part of his life.
He attended Helena Public Schools. He worked at Helena Industries and later at Montana Distillers for his Dad. When Bobby decided to retire from his jobs, he enjoyed the comfort of his family home. He filled his days by caring for his two small dogs. Bobby walked tall; Bobby walked proud as he strolled through his neighborhood with his most loving companions, Cal-t lie and Lindsey.
Bobby was a Special Olympian and very proud of the medals he brought home.
